Hello and welcome to Studio Williams Photography. My name is Lori Williams and I can't wait to learn more about you. But first, I bet you would like to know a little more about your photographer, me.

I have had a camera in my hand as long as I can remember. As a child, you could usually find me with my Polaroid covering half my face. I was fascinated by the ability to capture that one moment in time.

This interest grew into a passion during college where I studied broadcast journalism and went on to get my graduate degree focusing on television production. One day I hoped to teach others to fulfill their photography passion.

From here, I made my way into broadcast news as a videojournalist: Telling stories through my lens, freezing small windows of time for our viewers. In 2001, I landed in Columbus, OH as an executive producer for a local television station.  Through the years I was on the scene at catastrophic hurricanes, senatorial races and even a presidential debate. During this time, I had my first child and decided that it was time to leave television and within months, I had begun my still photography business. 

These experiences taught me the power of a moment. The impressions and the connections that can be made and immortalized for a lifetime through photography. 

When I am not out photographing families and high school seniors, you can usually find me on the soccer and lacrosse fields with my two teen boys, my husband and our Golden Retriever.
