Welcome

Welcome to The Green Room and thanks for stopping by. This is the place to see the behind the scenes happenings of Studio Williams Photography.

My name is Lori Williams and I am a custom portrait photographer in and around Columbus, Ohio. Newborns, babies, toddlers, seniors... I photograph them all, even weddings! I hope you enjoy my blog as it reflects my photography style, life and the occasional random musings that I may share.

Check back often as I will share sneak peaks from recent sessions as well as studio news and happenings around the area.

The Lovely P Family

It is always a good time hanging with the P family.   I love seeing how Mr. T has grown from a teeny, tiny preemie in to this snip and snails little boy.  And then there is the oh so sweet Miss A, celebrating her first birthday.  Such a happy toddler with the most amazing smile that just lights up all the faces around her.

A big thank you to them for trusting me with these precious family moments for so many years!

Fall and Holiday Sessions

Just wanted to put a little note out that I am currently booking Fall and Holiday sessions. As in years past I will open up more weekday days for sessions.  There are a few weekends and some weekdays already scheduled, so now would be a good time to drop me a line and let me know some dates that will work of you.  Email at lori@studiowilliams.com

And what is a post with out a photo? Photographed this wonderful family last week and then the blog went down. Here is the post that did make it to Facebook:

The Family Tree-

As I was packing my gear for this session I started thinking about the ages of the children, 20 and 17. It struck me that I do not get a lot of almost adult aged family sessions like this. As parents we are good about getting those early milestone ages and then Senior pictures. This mom reminded me though of how important it is to keep capturing these memories. Because, even though they are no longer “kids” they will always be your children.  Thanks Cathie!

Back online

I am so happy to say that the blog is back online, woo hoo! Thanks to the folks at WordPress for their help.  It *seems the site may have been hacked… but why oh why would someone really care enough to do this? I will never understand people that have nothing better to do than wreak cyber-havic on others. Think of all the good they could do with their knowledge, such a shame.

Miss Kate is a big sister!

… she is so proud to be one too!

Meet Cooper the much loved and much adored baby brother to Miss Kate.  Miss Kate is quite the star herself, being one of the most well-behaved and sweetest little girls I have ever photographed (and we started more than three years ago!)

Cooper is one lucky guy because he also has some of the most awesome-est parents in town.  I have to admit, shhhh, that this session may have taken a bit longer because I just love chatting with them.  And, well also that I wanted to spend a bit more time snuggling with Cooper!

I hope they have more babies so I can hang out more!  :)

Just a little sneak peak for now!  :)

There is something so timeless about the image below.  Being able to capture this tiny gracefullness in their daddy’s hands is simply amazing to me.

Country in Color

This session was a few months in planning. Fellow photographer Kristin had contacted me needing a large family portrait for her newly renovated office. The style needed to roughly emulate Ralph Lauren.

So I had a list of “must-haves”:  stable, open pasture and a willing horse.

Thank goodness I have some awesome clients who had all I needed and more out in the beautiful country. A huge thanks to Beth and family for the stable and to Sarah for allowing us to have Riley in the photos. What a gorgeous and patient horse.

I am counting all my blessings right now…

Just a little sneak peak, I have tons to catch up on this week.

Look! Riley (the horse) is smiling for me!

Love the lighting inside. What a beautiful couple!

Friends

Time for the annual Banyots family photos. Great weather along with some gorgeous kids made for some seriously cute photos last night at Inniswoods.

Two-year-old Matty cracked me up. While he preferred “photos on the run” he would look back at me with a smile that would melt even the Grinch’s heart.  And Luke, Oh Luke with those eyes as brown as a chocolate river.

Doesn’t this make you smile?

Has your heart melted yet?

More Baby B!

I am sorry sorry there wasn’t enough time to go through and post more images of this lil guy yesterday. His parents were so laid back and great to talk with. I have to comment that I have never seen a first-time Dad hold a newborn with such confidence. I was impressed!

There are super adorable images of Baby B and I honestly cannot wait to put his gallery together. Until then, here is the rest of his sneak peak!

Want to win OSU Football tickets or even a session with Studio Williams?

(Ok, while I realize the latter may not be as exciting as the tickets… But both will provide you with some great memories!)

So how can you win these items and plenty more?

Down a long and windy road (Ohio Newborn Photographer)

Just one from this morning’s newborn session. K and A are wonderful new parents who just happen to have the most adorable 10-day-old who, once filled with a full belly, let us capture some amazing photos of him. And, did I mention they have most perfect location for photos?

More images to be posted soon. :)

Sweet summer morning session

I am loving these early morning summer sessions. The light is so soft and warm not long after sunrise.

Thankfully, Mr. Parker and his parents were up for a very early session at Inniswoods Gardens over the weekend.  The morning could not have been more perfect. We started with lots of smiles while the sun cast its lovely rays on the family.  I just love seeing how much Parker has changed since his newborn session. Gone is the sleepy, tiny baby. Now he is this bright-eyed cherubic baby boy.

Here’s a sneak peak for his Mommy, I know she is excited to see the photos! :)

Happy 4th everyone!
